.co Domain Names Available for Registration
If you have missed out a great .com domain name, maybe you can still get the .co variety. ICANN announced the availability of .co domain names starting July 2010. For all practical purposes, .co domains are the same as .com domains. This means they are available to everyone and come on a first-come, first-serve basis. One of the biggest advantages of .co domain names is that they are already being used in more than 20 countries, including the UK (.co.uk) and Japan (.co.jp), where they are already being used for country-specific domains.
